Police were called to a Laurel Walmart after a customer pointed a machine gun at an employee because he could not return items without a receipt.

Authorities said the machine was instead a BB gun.

Here’s what the TV station says happened: A woman working at the customer service counter Monday night told police Iqbal to return a used electronic tablet device, but his request was refused because he had no receipt. He then took off a pair of headphones he was wearing and tried to return them, but was again denied because he didn’t have a receipt.

Police say Iqbal then placed a backpack on the counter, took out a sub-compact machine gun, later identified as the BB gun, and pointed it at the employee. He demanded that money be returned to him. When the employee yelled, Iqbal fled without getting any money.
