Barbara J. Sydenstricker, 65, of Upper Marlboro

A Pepco employee for 31 years, she lost her battle to cancer on Feb. 24.

According to Lee Funeral Homes in Clinton, Barbara J. Sydenstricker, 65, of Upper Marlboro died on Feb. 24 in Edgewater after a long battle with cancer.

She was staying at the Mandrin House at the time of her death.

Sydenstricker was born to Garnett and Annabelle (Anderson) Kidwell in Washington DC and was a former Pepco employee, serving the company for 31 years.

She is survived by her two daughters—Denise and Dawn— and three grandchildren, one great grandson and three brothers.

Donations can be made in Barbara's honor to the Hospice of the Chesapeake at 3675 Solomons Island Rd. Harwood, MD 20776.
