Local Animal Facility Hosting Adoption Event

During the month of December, Prince George's County residents can adopt a dog or cat at a reduced price.

The Prince George’s County Department of Environmental Resources’ Animal Management Division is hosting a “500 Paws for a Claus” event, in which county residents can adopt a dog or cat from the Animal Services Facility in Upper Marlboro at a reduced price.

Any person adopting an animal in December will receive half off regular adoption fees, according to county information.

As is standard procedure, the adoption process requires that all household members interact with the potential new pet, so pets cannot be adopted and given as a surprise gift.
