Holiday Farmers Markets & Farm Guide: Shop Local!

Although many of our farmers market have closed for the season, several offer wonderful holiday markets that include our local farmers, artists and crafts. There are always amazing gifts for friends and family; plants, wreaths and greenery for your home decorating; and lots and lots of delicious foods to grace your holiday table.

If you can't get to one of these markets (and you should try!), the newly released "Farms for the Holidays" Guide, developed by the Southern MD Agricultural Development Commission, is your one-stop-shop for farms that offer trees and trimmings; events and activities; wine; livestock products and seafood; and gifts from Southern Maryland farms.

Your year-round support keeps our farmers farming, encourages local businesses, and keeps our economies strong. Happy Holidays!
