The Laurel Museum is hosting its traditional three-day Holiday Open House Friday, November 30-Sunday, December 2, 2012. The Holiday Open House will feature the new Laurel Cotton Mill ornament plus the ever-popular Laurel’s Christmas Tree and many Laurel collectibles. This year’s Open House will also feature jewelry by local crafters, Kirsten Anderson and Elsie Klumpner and Maryland-made kitchen textiles. For children the Museum shop features hand-made toys by local wood artist Mike Leser and a wide array of historical toys and children’s books. The Laurel Garden Club will be offering hand-decorated wreaths. Wreaths can be ordered in advance, for a discounted price of $30; or purchased during the Open House for $35. Refreshments will be served. Many of the shop items can be purchased online at www.laurelhistoricalsociety.org/shop. December 9 will be the last day to purchase online for holiday delivery.
