Traffic Light at Temple Hills Water Distribution Point

Workers at Thurgood Marshall Middle School in Temple Hills -- one of several water distribution points operated by Prince George's County -- say they plan to stay here until 9 p.m. despite the downgraded water crisis.

They may not have much company, though: over the past half hour or so, only two cars have stopped by for residents to fill containers from a mobile tank stationed in the school's parking lot.

A county employee said between 30 and 50 people had stopped by the site all day.
