Maxwell's PGCPS CEO Contract Goes Before Board of Ed.
Emergency meeting set for Tuesday to consider contract for new Prince George's schools chief.
Prince George's County Board of Education will be holding an emergency meeting on Tuesday evening to consider a contract for new county schools CEO Kevin Maxwell.
Maxwell was recently picked by County Executive Rushern Baker to lead Prince George's County Public Schools, but at the time of his appointment a contract had not yet been finalized.
There are few details so far available on the contract being considered by the board. An agenda for the meeting lists the CEO's contract as one of the items before the board of education on its consent agenda.

The meeting begins with a closed session at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the Sasscer Administration Building at 14201 School Lane in Upper Marlboro. At around 7 p.m., the board is expected to convene in open session to consider Maxwell's contract, the only legislation on the agenda.
