Main Street Fire Causes $2,000 In Damage
No one was injured in the Wednesday afternoon blaze in Upper Marlboro.
A small fire at a second-floor apartment at 14711 Main Street in Upper Marlboro caused about $2,000 in damage on Wednesday afternoon, according to spokesman Mark Brady of the Prince George's County Fire Department.
"It was a relatively small fire at a two-story structure," Brady told Patch on Wednesday. "We got the call about 12:30 and the fire was out about 10 minutes after we arrived." State Farm Insurance occupies the first floor of the building, he added.
"The fire is under investigation but it certainly appears to be accidental," Brady said. About 25 firefighters responded to the blaze.
