Good morning, Upper Marlboro! It's the first week of December, so that means cold weather could be around the corner. We've been lucky so far, as it hasn't been too bad outside. As you prepare for another journey, here are five things you should know about your town.

1. Despite a great football season, the Frederick Douglass Eagles in the Maryland 2A state championship game. Middletown High School dominated the game's second half, outscoring the Eagles 27-0 en route to the crown.

If you're looking for a live Christmas tree, you might have to do a little bit of digging. Of the 15,000 Christmas tree farms in the U.S., Patch could only find three in Prince George’s, all of them nearby. Try Tanner’s Enchanted Forest and Pines Farm, both in Brandywine, or Miller Farms in Clinton.
