No Kid Hungry's Dine Out Campaign Starts Sept. 16

Two Upper Marlboro restaurants are participating in the weeklong event.

 

The fifth-annual, national “No Kid Hungry” campaign kicks off on Sept. 16 and runs through Sept. 22 to offer a variety of ways people can help the cause.

Run by Share Our Strength, the No Kid Hungry campaign seeks to ends childhood hunger in America “by ensuring all children get the healthy food they need, every day,” according to the organization’s press release.

More than 8,000 “No Kid Hungry” restaurants will help to raise funds and awareness, as well as contribute to the No Kid Hungry campaign. There are dozens of restaurants in the metro area—two right here in Upper Marlboro —where you can help by eating out, purchasing discounted coupon booklets and/or making a donation:

  • 861 Capital Center Blvd., Upper Marlboro

  • 3941 Evergreen Parkway, Bowie

  • 7419 Baltimore Ave., College Park

  • 314 Washington Blvd., Laurel
