Brides Against Breast Cancer 'Nationwide Tour of Gowns' to Stop in Metro Area

Nonprofit group sells donated wedding gowns to benefit people impacted by cancer.

 

Brides Against Breast Cancer, a national nonprofit group that sells donated wedding dresses to benefit people impacted by cancer will make a stop in the area from September 28-30 at the Dupont Circle Hotel in Northwest Washington, DC.

Since 2002, Brides Against Breast Cancer has been actively selling gowns and makes upwards of 70 yearly stops on the “Nationwide Tour of Gowns.”

More than 1,000 gowns, donated by individuals, organizations and companies, will be available for viewing. Priced from $99 to $799, the name-brand and designer gowns are valued as high as $8,000. Additionally, a selection of couture and exclusive gowns valued up to $20,000 will be discounted between 25-75%.

Friday, September 28th’s opening night VIP event, scheduled from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. costs $40 and will feature champagne, hors d’oeuvres and will offer attendees the chance to preview and purchase gowns before the general public. The admission price includes a raffle ticket and one guest ticket.

On Saturday, September 29, doors open at 12:00 p.m. to the general public, and admission is free. Pink Power Hour tickets are available for $20 and will allow brides to browse and purchase gowns two hours early at 10:00 a.m.

Admission is also free on Sunday, September 30, with doors open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Brides Against Breast Cancer (BABC) will accept gown donations at the event, and individuals interested in volunteering at the event can register on the BABC website.

VIP tickets (with a 20% discount for active military and reserve members with valid I.D.) are available on the BABC website.
