Woody Guthrie was born on July 14, 1912, and throughout his lifetime, he traveled around the country performing traditional folk and blues.
His songs provided inspiration for the folk movement, and several modern-day artists have cited Guthrie's music as an influence for their own. Many of Guthrie's lyrics reflected his experiences in the Dust Bowl during the Great Depression.
His song "This Land Is Your Land" is one of his most famous, and if your family was anything like mine, it's one you probably grew up singing along to.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of his birthday, we want to know: What was your favorite Woody Guthrie song? Tell us in the comments.
And check out the "This Land is Your Land: Woody Guthrie at 100" tribute concert being held in honor of his 100th birthday at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, in October.
