Women's History Month Event: "Ann Joice" a one-act play

“Ann Joice,” tells the story of a 17th century black woman who comes to Prince George’s County to serve out the final years of her indenture. Fate and the injustices of the time steal the freedom for which she so desperately yearns. It is performed on the very grounds where Ann Joice once lived and worked. This one-woman tour de force will make you feel her agony. The play is directed by Charles E. Williams, and features Brenda Clark McCutcheon in the role of “Ann Joice.” Bianca Floyd, former museum director at Poplar Hill, is the playwright. For ticket information call: 240-316-5495
