Casting Call: Go-Go Music Documentary


Want to be a subject in a feature length documentary?

Are you a DMV Native who loves Go - Go Music?
Are you a DMV Native who hates Go - Go Music?
Are you new to the area and love Go - Go Music?

The 7070 Group and Cool Kids Forever Films are currently in pre -production of a documentary that looks into the world of Go - Go music from the perspective of the musicians and fans alike and we want you to be in it! The feature length film will be an exploration of Washington DC Go - Go music and culture. Specifically, the documentary will focus on how Go - Go culture affects the region and how the music has influenced the greater music industry as a whole. 

We are looking for the following storylines to include in the film.

· A family who has lost a member to violence associated with Go - Go music, but still loves and supports the music/culture.
· A family who has lost a member to violence associated with Go - Go music and is therefore against Go - Go music/culture.
· An individual from the DMV who has specific reasons for disliking Go - Go music.
· Go - Go Fans. - You attend Go - Go's more than 3 times per month. You have knowledge of and may personally know specific band members in your favorite bands. You have a group of friends that have similar stories. Going to a Go - Go is the highlight of your week. You have a large collection of P.A. Tapes/CD's (preferred).

All participants must have experienced important moments in their lives related to Go - Go music and be open to speaking about them on camera. All testimonials must be truthful and preferably supported with documentation or some other type of proof. We will have laughter, we will have tears, but most of all we will gain a better understanding of Go - Go's importance to the music world as a whole.
