Wintry Weather Predicted for Tuesday, Wednesday in Prince George's County

Grab your mittens and galoshes, because it's going to be cold, wet and maybe even a bit snowy this week.

Baby, it's cold outside!

If Monday's frigid temps aren't wintery enough for you,  the National Weather Service is calling for some of the wet, white stuff on Tuesday and Wednesday in Edgewater.

Clouds will increase overnight, with a predicted low of around 30 degrees. 

There's a chance of rain, sleet or snow before noon on Tuesday. There is a 100 percent chance of precipitation, but little to no accumulation is expected. Highs Tuesday will be around 43 degrees.

Heavy rain is expected Tuesday night, with precipitation amounts of one to two inches possible.

Wednesday morning will see a 90 percent chance of rain or snow with highs around 40 degrees. The day will begin with rain showers before noon, and rain and/or show showers likely later in the day. The weather will be breezy, with new precipitation amounts of a quarter of an inch to half an inch possible.

Things will be cold and blustery Wednesday night, with temperatures falling to around 25 degrees. NWS is calling for a 30 percent chance of snow showers before 1 a.m. 

The remainder of the week is predicted to be clear and cold, with highs in the mid to upper 30s, with overnight lows in the mid 20s.
