What's the Weekend Weather Forecast?

How might weather conditions affect your weekend plans?

 

Kids are back in school and summer is winding down, but traditionally, September weekends in the area feature nice weather, perfect for visiting local attractions.

But, how is the weather looking for our area looking this weekend?

Washington, DC

If you are planning a weekend visit to one of the great museums or to see the Nationals take on the Marlins on Saturday, temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s, but take an umbrella with you as there is an 80 percent chance of rain in the afternoon, going down to 50 percent for the evening hours.

On Sunday, there is a slight chance of showers in the morning, with pleasant temperatures in the upper 70s.

 

Annapolis, MD

On Saturday, if you are heading down to attend the Fall 2012 Craft & Flea Market, tour a lighthouse or to enjoy the 45th Annual Maryland Seafood Festival — wear your raincoat— as there is a significant chance of rain in the afternoon, with temperatures expected to climb into the mid-80s.

On Sunday, there is a smaller chance of rain, and temperatures are expected to stay in the mid-70s.

 

Ocean City, MD

While it may seem like summer is over, if you are planning one last beach weekend, there is a 70 percent chance of rain most of Saturday afternoon with temperatures in the mid-80s.

On Sunday no rain is expected, but the skies will be partly sunny with temperatures in the mid-80s.

 

Rehoboth Beach, DE

On Saturday, there is a slightly smaller chance of rain than in Ocean City during the afternoon, with similar temps in the mid-80s.

Sunday looks to be a bit nicer, with temperatures in the mid- to upper-70s and partly sunny skies.

 

Baltimore, MD

Pack your umbrella or raincoat if you plan to visit the Inner Harbor or see the Orioles battle the Yankees for first place in the division, as it is expected to be mostly cloudy, with an 80 percent chance of rain and warm temperatures in the upper-80s.

On Sunday, the chance of rain is much less at 30 percent and temperatures a bit more comfortable in the mid-70s.
