Tornado Watch Issued for Upper Marlboro, Surrounding Areas

The watch will be in effect until 5 p.m. Monday.

A mid-west storm system responsible for snow on North Dakota and tornadoes in Nebraska, brings the possibility of tornadoes to Upper Marlboro Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

A tornado watch has been issued for all of Prince George's County until 5 p.m. Monday. A tornado watch means that weather conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms and tornadoes, according to NWS. Residents should be alert and prepare for severe weather.
