New Year's Baby Born to Upper Marlboro Couple

The family's first daughter and third child was born at 12:12 a.m. on Jan. 1.

Typically on New Year's Eve, families are either huddled around the TV to watch the ball drop, or they're huddled around each other at some house party, drinking and having a good time.

A family from Upper Marlboro did neither.

Instead, Irja and Greg Bonafede were at the Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, awaiting the arrival of their first daughter and third child, according to a Washington Post report. She was born Jan. 1 at 12:12 a.m. (2012, get it?)
