Litter Mucks up Schoolhouse Pond

Trash tarnishes prized Prince George's pond. Don't litter, folks!

A quiet stroll along the Schoolhouse Pond trail in Upper Marlboro on Sunday brought me and my girlfriend within spitting distance of moss-covered box turtles, busy beavers, stoic great blue herons, and a surprising amount of litter floating on the surface of the waters, seen pictured above.

Gross right?

Consider this a helpful visual reminder to keep litter out of our waterways by disposing of all refuse in the appropriate trash or recycling containers.
