DESCRIPTION:A crime victims&rsquo\; town hall will bring together victims
  and family members of victims to share their stories\, learn more about
  victim family services in Maryland\, and discuss what legislators can d
 o to&nbsp\;enhance support for crime victims in the state and the agenci
 es which provide services in the aftermath of crime. The Dec. 6 event is
  open to the public and is for anyone who has been a victim of crime.\nS
 peakers include:\n\nRicardo Wiggs&nbsp\;and his wife\, Sharon\, were sho
 t in their home in 1992\; Sharon later died. Wiggs was a leading advocat
 e to win federal stocking legislation in the 1990s.\nMargery Patten&rsqu
 o\;s&nbsp\;son\, Mike\, was murdered in 2001. She spends much of her tim
 e helping other families of homicide victims with their grief and loss a
 s a volunteer with the Maryland State Board on Victim Services*.\nDee Ga
 rdner\, director of victims&rsquo\; services at Maryland Crime Victims&r
 squo\; Resource Center* in Upper Marlboro\, MD\, will share what service
 s they offer to victims and survivors.\nBonnita Spikes\, Maryland Citize
 ns Against State Execution (MD CASE) Victim Organizer and an appointee t
 o the Governor&rsquo\;s Board on Victim Services*. Her husband\, Michael
 \, was murdered 20 years ago. Spikes is a dedicated public servant and a
 n advocate for victims and victim survivors at the Maryland legislature.
 \n\nThe event is sponsored by Maryland State Conference and the Prince G
 eorge&rsquo\;s County Branch of the NAACP\, Maryland Citizens Against St
 ate Executions (MD CASE) in partnership with the Rachel&rsquo\;s Fund Pr
 ogram of the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty.\nThe event
  will be held at the Ark of Safety Christian Church where Maryland State
  Senator C. Anthony Muse serves as bishop.\n*Please note: Organizations
