Upper Marlboro Church Files For Bankruptcy
Ark of Safety Christian Church led by a Maryland senator is dealing with its debt.
The Upper Marlboro church led by State Sen. Anthony Muse (D-Prince George's) filed for bankruptcy protection on June 6, according to The Washington Post.
Muse is the bishop at the Ark of Safety Christian Church and told CBS Baltimore that the filing was only to help the group “simply reorganizing and restructuring our debt."
The church has nearly 2,000 members and according to CBS owes $1.8 million.

WOW! 2,000 members and they must file bankruptcy? Either the members aren't obedient to God's word of "bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse" or the leadership team isn't a good steward of God's money! You can't spend what you don't have. Don't play with God's money. He's only requiring us to give 10% and all our needs will be met. If we offer even more, He will bless us even more! Please get the priorities straight there and not let this church fail giving the black community of PG County another black eye!

Don't be so quick to judge the members. Passing judgment on others is WRONG! Bishop Muse indicated that many of his members are having financial crisis -- did it ever dawn on you that perhaps members may have lost their jobs or had a cut in pay, thus the decrease in tithes. Although members financial situations change (sometime through no fault of their own) the churches expenses are not decreased as a result).

I'm just glad this so-called church ran out of a strip mall (blasphemous) will hopefully be put up to rest soon thus eliminating the eyesore & extra traffic in the neighboring community. Anyone can be a bishop, pastor, pulpit pimp, whatever these days via online certification & an overnight career change of a politician & news reporter proves just that. 'God's house' next door to a deli & then buying the deli out & making His house out of one? Blasphemous, no couth. Doubt this was "God's $" here, lol. I'm sure Our Father never saw a dime while the political sector saw most of it. Anyone with common sense knows them tithes go into the pockets of the big man unless it's an authentic entity that gives back to the community & my living in the adjacent modest community: I didn't see a dime given back to us nor were we notified of the construction of this 'business' beforehand in the 1st place. Good riddens. Take that mess up to boujieland Largo or somewhere.

Wow.... this is sad. To call youselves servants of the almighty you surely are cruel in your posts. How about sitting back and praying for those who have been led astray and pray they are led back to the road of righteousness of Christ.

What is the meaning of : 'Take that mess up to boujieland (sic) Largo...? We are doing fine in Largo and surrounding areas with Cosco, Wegmans as well as The Boulevard. We don't take this type of comment lightly.
