Pr. George's Police Arrest 4 in 2010 Shooting, Now Homicide

The county police are now charging four men in a homicide after a 2010 shooting victim died from complications from his injuries.

 

The Prince George's County police arrested four men this week in a 2010 fatal shooting of a Northeast DC man.

According to police, 29-year-old Melvin Pate was found inside a vehicle in the 2100 block of Brooks Drive in Capitol Heights suffering from a gunshot wound on Nov. 22, 2010.

Pate, of the 200 block of 58th Street, died Nov. 8 from complications related to his wound, police said. Now his death has been ruled a homicide.

Police arrested the following men and charged them in the homicide:

  • 22 year-old Jermaine Hailes of the 4100 block of Massachusetts Avenue
  • 21 year-old Ciree Petty of the 2100 block of Brooks Drive in Capitol Heights
  • 22 year-old Ramel Sanders of the 11800 block of Birchview Court in Clinton
  • 22 year-old Mark Anderson of the 2300 block of Hope Circle in Waldorf

The men were all charged with first and second degree murder and related charges.
