Police: Three Arrested in Attempted Robbery of Suitland Business

Prince George's County police capture two suspects fleeing the scene, while another was arrested at a hospital.

Three men were arrested Tuesday in a foiled attempt to rob a Suitland pawn shop, Prince George's County police said in a news release.

Around 1:15 p.m., officers were called to the 4600 block of Silver Hill Road after they were told there was a shooting, the release stated. The pawn shop's security officer told police that two masked men walked into the business and when the guard confronted them, one of the men exchanged gunfire with the guard.

Those two suspects then fled the scene in a car that was waiting for them with another suspect inside, police said. The men drove to a local hospital where they dropped off the injured suspect, according to police.
