This is not 'typical' of teens... only of a few misguided, mad-at-parents, too dam grown teens...the majority of teens don't run away --they know that home might be a pain in the ass but it beats living pillar to post and really being homeless -- there are always exceptions of course (abuse, drugs in the home, etc) -- but for the most part running away is NOT typical at all. Unless she was kidnapped or something other than just getting in trouble at home, she needs to punished for putting her parent(s) thru the hell of having a missing child. Evidently SOMEone allowed her to camp out at their home while she was 'missing' -- i would have that investigated as well. As i said, there's exceptions to every rule..this one notwithstanding. from "knowing".
