Police Continue to Look for Information in Marckel Ross' Death
The teen was gunned down on Sept. 11 as he walked to Central High School.
Prince George's County police officers and detectives spent Monday morning talking to community members along the roadway where 18-year-old Marckel Ross was gunned down while walking to Central High School on Sept. 11.
They stopped cars and spoke to commuters along Old Central Avenue, hoping to engage the community once again in the investigation into the death of an area teen.
Ross was killed at 6:50 a.m. as he walked in the 6100 block of Old Central Avenue in Capitol Heights. Police have since learned that an unreported robbery occurred in the area a short time before Ross was killed and they'd like to speak with that victim.
The teen's mother also stopped by to urge anyone with information to come forward. A cash reward of up to $25,000 will be offered for information leading to an arrest in the case.
