Landover McDonald's Treats Honor Roll Students

Mary Navies hosted a private screening event, followed by lunch and an autograph session with Tuskegee Airman James Pryde at her restaurant on Central Avenue.

McDonald’s franchisee Mary Navies recently provided a unique experience for honor roll students from Thurgood Marshall Middle School in Temple Hills.

In addition to treating the students at her McDonald's restaurant, located at 8710 Central Ave. in Landover, Navies hosted a private screening of the film Red Tails at the AMC Magic Johnson Capital Centre 12.

According to a release, students heard from Tuskegee Airman James Pryde and Lt. Col. Beverly Armstrong of the Bessie Coleman Foundation, who spoke about female pilots and training opportunities for student.

Following the screening, Navies treated students to lunch and an autograph session with Pryde. Navies and her husband own eight McDonald's restaurants in Prince George’s County.
