President Barack Obama spoke Thursday morning about gas prices, energy initiatives and job training at Prince George's Community College (PGCC) in Largo.
According to Capital News Service, people started lining up at the college as early as 4:30 a.m. to see Obama and more than 1,000 heard him speak at Novak Field House.
Obama touched on high gas prices and said that drilling is not the solution, according to WJZ. He reportedly told the crowd at PGCC that he will focus on new energy sources and fuel efficiency in cars.
Part of Obama's speech focused on the role of community colleges in partnering with businesses to offer job training. The Gazette reported that Obama spoke highly of the weatherization program at PGCC.
