UPDATE: Police Reveal Identity of Man Killed in Upper Marlboro

Christian Clayton Dudley was shot Sunday night along Grandhaven Avenue.

UPDATE, 05/16 -- 12:40 p.m.: The Prince George’s County Police Department has identified Christian Clayton Dudley, 36, as the victim of a fatal shooting Sunday night in Upper Marlboro.

On May 15 at about 11:21 p.m., patrol units responded to the 8500 block of Grandhaven Avenue for a reported shooting. Once they arrived, officers found Dudley, who lived along Grandhaven Avenue, suffering from trauma to his body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and establish a motive in this case. The investigation is ongoing.

ORIGINAL POST: County police officers are investigating a homicide that occurred on the 8500 block of Grandhaven Avenue in Upper Marlboro last night. 

At about 11:20 p.m., patrol officers responded to Grandhaven Avenue for a reported shooting. When they arrived, officers found a male victim suffering from trauma to the body. He was pronounced dead on the scene, according to county police information.

Police officers are looking for a silver colored Mazda Protégé that reportedly fled the scene. More details will be provided as they become available.
