Thursday’s scheduled hearing marks the second time a plea hearing has been set in Leslie Johnson’s case. A May court hearing was canceled two days before it was to occur, according to the Washington Post.
She was also caught trying to stuff more than $79,000 in her bra and underwear as federal agents arrived at their home.
The councilwoman was charged with conspiracy to commit witness and evidence tampering, according to published reports. Jack Johnson has been indicted on extortion and bribery charges.
