Forestville Man Arrested, Charged With Robbery

Police say Shakir Taylor and his sister, Kadija, robbed the M&T Bank in Forestville this month.

Prince George’s County police officers have arrested Shakir Taylor, .

Taylor was arrested Monday at his home along the 3700 block of Donnell Drive, according to police information. Police officers said they learned of Taylor’s whereabouts through its Crime Solvers line. He’s being held at the County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro on robbery charges.

On Nov. 8 at about 11:46 a.m., Shakir Taylor and his sister, Kadija, walked into the M&T Bank and passed a note to a bank teller demanding money. The bank teller complied with the Taylors’ demands and gave them an undisclosed amount of money.

Then, they fled the bank on foot. Kadija Taylor, 20, was arrested shortly after the robbery occurred. Detectives obtained a warrant for Shakir Taylor charging him with robbery.
