Donna Edwards Visits Workforce Training Center

The Westphalia Training Center provides classroom training to Prince George's Community College students.

Yesterday, Congresswoman Donna Edwards visited the Westphalia Training Center at in Largo. The newly opened center, designed to educate workers for in-demand jobs, provides classroom training for welding, carpentry, and electricians, according to a press release announcing the center's opening.

“[The college] is actively seeking to establish partnerships with local employers with specific skilled trades or technical training needs,” Jerome Countee, director of workforce development, said in the press release.
