Celebrate Upper Marlboro's Small Businesses Today

In honor of Small Business Saturday, Patch wonders: What local shops are you most thankful for?

Upper Marlboro is interesting for many different reasons. While it's a sprawling metropolis and the county seat of Prince George's County, it still has a small, hometown feel with understated breakfast shops and museums.

And while we debate the need for light rail and the fate of our historic school site, let's take a moment to celebrate our local businesses -- the people that know your name when you walk in, the chefs who know your order before you say a word.

To honor Small Business Saturday, Patch is asking you to post the products, businesses and practitioners in Upper Marlboro you couldn't live without.

Is it the seafood at Old Towne Inn? The awesome breakfast at Marlboro Grille? The soft pretzels at the Dutch Village Farmers Market? Let us know.

Post your 'thank you' messages to Upper Marlboro store owners below. They deserve the praise!
