Prince George’s County EDC Hosts U.S. India Delegation

On Wednesday, January 16, 2013, the Prince George's County EDC hosted a delegation from India and the U.S. Indian American Chamber of Commerce. The delegation was led by The Honorable K.H. Muniappa, Minister of MSME, Govt. of India; Dr. Ajay Prakash Misra, Chairman of Indo-American Friends Group & Indo-American Chamber of SME; The Honorable Mr. Bhagwat Sharan Gangwar, Industries Minister from Uttar Pradesh; and other successful SME entrepreneurs. This delegation provided a platform to engage with U.S. small and medium enterprises (SME’s) to promote education and economic development between Prince George's County and India.
EDC Senior Vice President Pradeep Ganguly, and U.S. India Foundation President and CEO KV Kumar, addressed the delegation along with representatives from Maryland DBED and the Indo-American Chamber of SME.
"We are continuously working on opportunities with our friends and partners in India. We are honored to host this delegation as nearly 98% of all enterprises in Maryland are small and medium enterprises. We want to help you do business in Prince George’s County and facilitate a working business relationship between Maryland and India,” said EDC Senior Vice President Pradeep Ganguly.
