CASH Campaign Increases Wealth Building Opportunities
Community Financial Center introduces new coalition to expand free tax preparation services
The Community Financial Center of Prince George’s Community College announces The Prince George’s CASH Campaign. A coalition of businesses and organizations has developed the campaign to increase wealth building opportunities for low and moderate income Prince George’s County residents. The campaign expands free tax preparation services and access to financial education and banking and savings opportunities.
Prince George’s CASH Campaign founders include the Community Financial Center of Prince George’s Community College, Community Tax Aid, Inc., Galilee Baptist Church, Beltway Church of Christ, Housing Options and Planning Enterprises (H.O.P.E.) and Unity Economic Development Corporation.

The event is an opportunity for community businesses and organizations to learn about the coalition’s campaign and consider how they can play a role in increasing its effectiveness.
Prince George’s CASH supports programs, products and policies that protect and grow the financial security of working families. Prince George’s CASH is housed within the Community Financial Center of Prince George’s Community College.
Supporting partners of the CASH campaign include the Maryland Comptroller, United Way of Nation Capital Region, Internal Revenue Service, Maryland CASH Campaign, Operation Hope, People for Change Coalition and Citibank Foundation
Prince George’s Community College is a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Two-year Education designated by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security (2010-2015). Established in 1958, Prince George’s Community College provides transfer and career programs that help students transfer to four-year colleges and universities and prepare them for the workforce. Each year, 40,000 students take part in more than 200 academic programs and workforce development and continuing education courses.
